Elina Nechayeva was born in Tallinn, Estonia. She was already singing in a children’s choir at the age of four and started taking private singing lessons at the age of 14. Already at such a young age it was clear that Elina had a unique, beautiful, clear and very high voice which lead her to sing all the soloist parts in different children's choirs. She studied in Tallinn University for her Bachelor’s degree in music from 2011 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2016 completed her Master’s degree at the Estonian Music and Theatre Academy. In 2015 the coloratura soprano made her debut at the Estonian National Opera as Giannetta in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore” and in 2018 was invited to take part in Estonian National Opera soloists gala with famous Mozart's “Queen of the night” aria and Delibe's Lakme's “Bell song”. From 2015 to 2017 Elina was playing in Estonian Drama Theatre as a guest artist, her play and singing received great feedback from the critics. The singer also appears regularly as a soloist in concerts in Estonia and abroad with the best orchestras and conductors. She works regularly with the most famous Estonian conductors family Järvi's, who are very well known in the whole world for their talent and musical interpretation. In the end of the year 2018 Elina had one of her biggest solo concerts in Shanghai Opera theatre with Neeme Järvi. The beginning of the year 2019 brought her Orff's “Carmina Burana” at the MustonenFest opening concert and in February of 2019 Elina had an opportunity to sing with the world known opera singer Placido Domingo. Elina's repertoire includes works by Mozart, Rossini, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Faure, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and many more. Besides classical music Elina does interesting cross-over projects to introduce classical vocals to the larger audience and rouse interest in classical music. She also works with famous Estonian and Russian composers who love her extraordinary voice and musicality. The singer has enjoyed success in a number of competitions in Estonia, winning first and second prizes. In 2017 Elina got to the finals of Neue Stimmen international music competition in Germany from 1500 participants. The same year Elina was hosting the semi finals of Eesti Laul (Estonian Song Contest) and in 2018 took part as a contestant and won the first place. Elina was representing Estonia at Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon and got the 8th place with operatic cross-over song “La Forza” which lyrics she composed with her friend Ksenia Kuchukova in Italian. This song received a lot of emotional feedback from the audience and listeners called Elina “the winner of the hearts” because with her voice and strong genuine emotion Elina can reach the deepest chords of human soul.
